Finding and Claiming Jobs
All available work on Otesse is posted through the Pandora Marketplace. This is where service companies list jobs they need help with, and where you go to find and claim them.
The Pandora Marketplace
Pandora is the name of the job marketplace inside Otesse. When a company has a job they cannot fill with their own staff, they post it to Pandora. That job then becomes visible to workers like you, based on your location, availability, and tier.
Not every posted job will show up for you. The system filters jobs based on:
- Your location and travel settings — Jobs too far away are hidden.
- Your availability — Jobs that conflict with your schedule are hidden.
- Your tier — Some jobs are only visible to higher-tier workers.
- Block lists — If a company has blocked you (or you have blocked them), their jobs will not appear.
Available Jobs Tab
When you open the marketplace, you will see the Available Jobs tab. This is a list of all jobs you are eligible to claim right now.
Each job is shown as a card with key information at a glance.
What the Job Card Shows
Every job card includes:
- Job title — A short description of the work (e.g., "Deep Clean — 3BR House").
- Payout — How much you will earn for completing this job. This is the total payout for the job. If it is a multi-person job, your share is the total divided by the number of workers.
- Date and time — When the job needs to be done.
- Location — The general area (not the exact address until you claim it).
- Spots available — How many workers are needed. If it says "2 of 3 claimed," one spot is still open.
- Company name — Who posted the job.
Claiming a Job
Found a job you want? Here is how to claim it:
- Tap on the job card to see the full details.
- Review the description, requirements, and payout.
- Tap Claim This Job.
- You will see a confirmation screen. Read the details one more time.
- Tap Confirm to lock it in.
Once confirmed, the job moves from Available Jobs to My Jobs. You are now committed to showing up.
My Jobs Tab
The My Jobs tab shows everything you have claimed. You can see:
- Upcoming jobs sorted by date
- Job details (address, time, requirements)
- Status of each job (claimed, in progress, completed)
This is your work calendar. Check it regularly so you never miss a job.
Putting a Job Back
Changed your mind? You can return a job before the start time by tapping Put Back on the job detail screen. The job goes back to the marketplace for someone else to claim.
A few things to know about putting jobs back:
- It affects your score. Frequent put-backs lower your reliability rating.
- There is a streak warning. If you put back multiple jobs in a row, the system will warn you that your tier may be affected.
- You cannot put back a job after the start time. Once the clock starts, you are either there or marked as a no-show.
Use put-back sparingly. It is there for genuine schedule conflicts, not for job shopping.
