Your Tier and Score

Every worker on Otesse has a tier. Your tier reflects your track record and unlocks new features as you advance. There are 5 tiers, and everyone starts at the bottom.

The 5 Tiers

Tier 1 — New

This is where every worker starts. You have basic access to the platform.

What you can do:

  • Set your weekly hours and block specific dates
  • Browse and claim available jobs
  • View your earnings

What is locked:

  • Schedule controls beyond basic hours
  • Price settings
  • Advanced marketplace features

Tier 2 — Proven

You have completed enough jobs and demonstrated reliability. The system recognizes you as a solid worker.

New unlocks:

  • Org preferences — Mark companies you always want to work with, or ones you want to avoid.
  • Buffer rules — Set minimum gaps between jobs so you have travel or rest time.

Tier 3 — Reliable

Consistent performance over time. Companies start to notice your track record.

New unlocks:

  • Basic Pandora availability settings — More control over which marketplace jobs you see.
  • Price threshold requests — You can request a minimum payout rate. Companies see your request but are not required to meet it.

Tier 4 — Expert

Top-tier performance. You are one of the most dependable workers on the platform.

New unlocks:

  • Per-company price rules — Set different rates for different companies based on your experience with them.
  • Full Pandora marketplace rules — Complete control over your marketplace visibility and preferences.
  • Limited conditional pricing rules — Set rules like "weekends pay 1.5x my base rate."
  • Rate requests — Companies can see your preferred rate and are more likely to meet it because of your reputation.

Tier 5 — Elite

The highest tier. Very few workers reach this level.

New unlocks:

  • Set your own rates directly — No more requesting. You name your price.
  • Unlimited conditional rules — Any pricing logic you want.
  • Elite Catalog listing — Your profile appears in an anonymous directory that companies can browse. It shows your Worker ID, tier, rate, and availability — but not your name or photo. Companies pick you based on merit, not appearance.

How to Advance

Your tier is determined by your worker score. The score is calculated automatically based on your actual job performance. Here is what matters:

  • Completion rate — Do you finish the jobs you claim?
  • On-time arrivals — Do you show up when you are supposed to?
  • Customer satisfaction — How do companies rate your work?
  • Quality of work — A composite score based on ratings and on-time performance.
  • Responsiveness — How quickly do you respond to job opportunities and messages?
  • No-shows — Missing a job without notice is the fastest way to tank your score.
  • Volume — More completed jobs helps, but quality matters more than quantity.
  • Put-back history — Frequently returning jobs you claimed hurts your score.
  • Tenure — Being on the platform longer gives a small bonus.
  • Streak — Completing jobs in a row without issues gives a small boost.

The exact formula is not published, and you cannot manually influence it. The system evaluates your performance automatically. Focus on doing great work and being reliable — the score will follow.

The Progress Bar

On your Tiers page, you will see a progress bar showing how close you are to the next tier. It is based on your current score relative to the threshold for the next level.

When the bar fills up, you advance and your new unlocks become available immediately.

Tips for Advancement

  1. Show up on time, every time. On-time arrivals carry heavy weight.
  2. Finish what you start. Do not claim jobs you are not sure about.
  3. Minimize put-backs. Only return a job if you truly cannot make it.
  4. Never no-show. A single no-show can set you back significantly.
  5. Be responsive. Check the app regularly and respond to messages quickly.
  6. Do quality work. Good ratings from companies compound over time.
