Visibility & Job Access

Not every Pandora job is visible to every worker. The platform uses a multi-layer visibility pipeline to match you with appropriate jobs based on your tier, eligibility, and capabilities. Understanding how this works helps you maximize the opportunities available to you.

The Visibility Pipeline

When you open Available Jobs, every active Pandora posting passes through seven filters before appearing in your list. A job must pass all filters to be visible to you.

Filter Details

1. Scope Filter

Organizations choose who can see their jobs:

ScopeWho Sees It
InternalOnly workers linked to the posting organization
ExternalAll eligible workers across the platform
Internal FirstInternal workers first; opens to everyone after a timed window

If a job is set to "Internal Only" and you are not a member of that organization, you will not see it. External jobs are visible platform-wide (subject to other filters).

Internal jobs display an "Internal" badge on the job card.

2. Block List Filter

Workers and organizations can block each other. If an organization has blocked you, or if you have blocked an organization, their jobs will not appear in your list. Blocking works in both directions.

3. Tier Level Filter

Some jobs require a minimum tier. If a job requires Tier 3 (Reliable) and you are at Tier 2 (Proven), the job is not visible to you. Your tier badge on the filter bar shows your current level — this is informational and cannot be changed.

4. Lead Time Filter

Higher-tier workers see jobs earlier. This is the most impactful tier-based filter:

Your TierYou Can See Jobs Starting In
Tier 1 (New)3+ days
Tier 2 (Proven)2+ days
Tier 3 (Reliable)1+ day
Tier 4 (Expert)4+ hours
Tier 5 (Elite)Immediately (including last-minute)

Example: A job posted today for tomorrow at 2 PM (about 24 hours from now):

  • You at Tier 1: Not visible (need 72 hours)
  • You at Tier 3: Visible (24 hours meets the requirement)
  • You at Tier 5: Visible (no restriction)

This means higher-tier workers have first pick of upcoming jobs. By the time a Tier 1 worker sees a job, higher-tier workers may have already claimed it.

5. Value Cap Filter

Lower-tier workers have a maximum job value they can see:

Your TierMaximum Job Value
Tier 1 (New)$300
Tier 2 (Proven)$500
Tier 3 (Reliable)$1,000
Tier 4 (Expert)$2,500
Tier 5 (Elite)No limit

A $650 job is visible to Tier 3+ workers but invisible to Tier 1 and Tier 2 workers.

6. Slot Availability Filter

If all slots on a job are filled, it disappears from everyone's Available Jobs. If some slots remain on a multi-person job, it appears with a "X of Y spots remaining" badge. Jobs you have already claimed appear in My Jobs, not Available Jobs.

7. Supply Tag Filter

Some jobs require workers to bring their own supplies. If a job is tagged "Supplies Required" and you do not have the matching supply capability, the job is filtered out. Jobs tagged "Supplies Provided" are visible to all workers.

Friends and Teammates

If you have friends or teammates on the platform and one of them has claimed a slot on a multi-person job, you will see a "A teammate is on this job" badge on the remaining slots. This is a visual enhancement only — it does not bypass any filters. You must still meet all tier and eligibility requirements.

Auto-Refresh

The Available Jobs list refreshes automatically every 30 seconds. On mobile, you can also pull to refresh manually. New jobs appear as they are posted and claimed jobs disappear in real time.

Empty State

If no jobs pass all your filters, you see: "No jobs available right now. Check back soon." This could mean:

  • No jobs have been posted in your area
  • Available jobs require a higher tier than yours
  • Available jobs start too soon for your lead time restriction
  • All available slots are already filled

The best way to see more jobs is to advance your tier, which relaxes lead time restrictions, raises your value cap, and opens access to more job types.

Maximizing Your Visibility

  1. Advance your tier — This is the biggest lever. Higher tiers see more jobs, see them earlier, and can access higher-value work.
  2. Update your supply tags — If you have your own equipment, make sure your profile reflects this so you are not filtered out of "supplies required" jobs.
  3. Check frequently — Jobs appear throughout the day and popular ones get claimed quickly.
  4. Respond fast — The best jobs at your tier level are claimed within minutes. Speed matters.
