Referring Clients

Once you are an approved partner, referring clients is straightforward. There are several ways to do it, and you can track every referral in real time.

Generating Referral Links

From your partner dashboard in the portal, you can generate referral links in two ways:

Your Main Referral Link

This is your permanent link that points to your branded booking page. It looks like:

www.otesse.com/ref/your-code

Share this link anywhere — on your website, in emails, on social media, or in text messages. Anyone who clicks it and books a service is tracked as your referral.

Campaign-Specific Links

You can create custom links for different campaigns or channels. For example:

• www.otesse.com/ref/your-code?src=email for email campaigns
• www.otesse.com/ref/your-code?src=instagram for social media

This helps you understand which channels are driving the most referrals.

Inviting Clients Directly

If you have a specific person in mind, you can invite them directly from your portal:

1. Go to the Affiliates section in your portal
2. Click Invite Client
3. Enter their name and email address
4. Optionally add a personal message
5. Click Send Invite

The client receives a branded email invitation with a link to book their first service. The referral is automatically attributed to you.

You can also invite multiple clients at once by uploading a CSV file with names and email addresses.

Tracking Referral Status

Every referral moves through a clear lifecycle:

Status	What It Means
Pending	Invitation sent but the person has not signed up yet
Signed Up	The person created an Otesse account using your link
Converted	They completed their first booking and paid
Rewarded	Your commission for this referral has been calculated and queued for payout

You can see all your referrals and their current status in the Your Referrals tab of your affiliate dashboard.

Commission Structure

Commissions are calculated as a percentage of the booking total (before tax). The rate depends on your tier level and the program rules set by the service provider.

Here is how it works:

1. Client books a service through your referral link
2. The service is completed and paid for
3. Your commission is calculated based on your current tier rate
4. The commission appears in your Commissions tab with status "Pending"
5. After the payout waiting period (typically 14 days), the commission is eligible for payout

Recurring Commissions

For clients who sign up for recurring services (subscriptions), you earn a commission on every visit — not just the first one. This means a single referral can generate ongoing income for as long as the client remains an active subscriber.

What Counts as a Conversion

A referral converts when the referred person:

• Creates an Otesse account using your referral link
• Completes their first booking
• Successfully pays for the service

If the person signs up but never books, the referral remains in "Signed Up" status and no commission is earned.

Tips for Successful Referrals

• Be specific — Instead of saying "check out Otesse," say "they do great move-out cleaning, here is a link to book"
• Share your branded page — It is more professional than a raw referral code
• Follow up — If someone expressed interest, send them a reminder
• Use your real experience — If you have used Otesse services yourself, share your honest experience
