Creating Coupons

Coupons are promotional codes that customers can apply during booking to receive a discount. Here is how to create and manage them.

Creating a Coupon

  1. Navigate to Zones > [Zone Name] > Coupons (zone-specific) or Settings > Promotions (global)
  2. Click Create Coupon
  3. Configure the coupon:

Basic Settings

  • Code — The code customers enter (e.g., "FIRST20", "SUMMER2026"). Auto-generated if left blank.
  • Description — Internal description of the promotion
  • Discount type — Percentage or fixed amount
  • Discount value — The percentage (e.g., 20) or dollar amount (e.g., 25.00)

Constraints

  • Minimum booking amount — Minimum order value to use the coupon (e.g., $100)
  • Maximum discount — Cap the discount amount for percentage coupons (e.g., max $50 off)
  • Usage limit (total) — Maximum number of times this coupon can be used across all customers
  • Usage limit (per customer) — Maximum uses per individual customer (typically 1)
  • Valid from / Valid until — Date range when the coupon is active
  • Industries — Restrict to specific service industries
  • Zones — Restrict to specific service zones
  • New customers only — Limit to first-time bookings

Deactivating a Coupon

To stop a coupon from being used:

  1. Open the coupon
  2. Toggle Active to off
  3. The code immediately stops working

Coupon Analytics

Track coupon performance:

  • Redemption count — How many times the coupon was used
  • Total discount given — Sum of all discounts from this coupon
  • Revenue influenced — Total booking revenue where this coupon was applied
  • Conversion rate — Percentage of code entries that resulted in completed bookings

Best Practices

  • Clear naming — Use descriptive codes (CLEAN20, NEWCUST, SUMMER26) that hint at the offer
  • Set limits — Always set usage limits and expiration dates to control exposure
  • Test first — Create the coupon and test it yourself before sharing with customers
  • Track ROI — Monitor the analytics to ensure promotions are profitable
