This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Otesse platform, website, applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Otesse LLC ("Otesse," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. Permitted Uses

The Services are designed for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Booking, managing, and paying for field services including cleaning, junk removal, carpet cleaning, and other home services offered through the Otesse platform.
  • Managing customer accounts, service addresses, payment methods, and booking history.
  • Communicating with service providers and support staff regarding scheduled or completed services.
  • Accessing documentation, help resources, and support materials.
  • If you are a service provider, using the platform to receive, manage, and complete service requests assigned to you.

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using our Services:

2.1 Harmful or Illegal Conduct

  • Illegal activity — Using the Services for any purpose that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Fraud — Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information during registration, booking, or any other interaction; creating accounts under false pretenses; or engaging in any form of fraudulent activity, including payment fraud, chargeback fraud, or identity theft.
  • Harassment — Harassing, threatening, intimidating, stalking, or bullying any other user, service provider, or Otesse employee, whether through the platform's communication features, in-person interactions during service delivery, or by any other means.
  • Discrimination — Engaging in discriminatory behavior based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, familial status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
  • Violence — Threatening or encouraging violence against any person or group.

2.2 Platform Abuse

  • Unauthorized access — Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Services, including through hacking, password mining, brute-force attacks, or any other unauthorized means.
  • Scraping — Using automated tools, bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar technologies to collect, extract, or harvest data from the Services without our prior written consent.
  • Interference — Taking any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, disrupts or interferes with the proper functioning of the Services, or compromises the security or integrity of the Services.
  • Reverse engineering — Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or otherwise attempting to discover the source code, algorithms, or underlying technology of the Services.
  • Malware — Uploading, transmitting, or distributing any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, or other malicious code or content.
  • Circumvention — Attempting to circumvent any security measures, rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions implemented by Otesse.

2.3 Content Standards

All content you submit, upload, or transmit through the Services (including reviews, messages, and profile information) must not:

  • Contain defamatory, libelous, or slanderous statements
  • Include obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material
  • Promote illegal drugs, weapons, or any illegal activity
  • Infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
  • Contain personal information of others without their consent
  • Include spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited commercial messages

3. Account Responsibility

  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized such activity.
  • You must maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • You may not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise provide access to your account to any other person or entity.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep your account information up to date.

4. Enforcement

Otesse reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action in response to violations of this AUP, including but not limited to:

  • Warning — Issuing a written warning for first or minor violations.
  • Content removal — Removing or disabling access to any content that violates this AUP.
  • Account suspension — Temporarily suspending your access to some or all of the Services.
  • Account termination — Permanently terminating your account and access to all Services.
  • Legal action — Pursuing legal remedies, including civil litigation and referral to law enforcement authorities.

The specific enforcement action taken will depend on the severity, frequency, and nature of the violation. We may take any combination of these actions and may do so without prior notice for severe or repeated violations.

Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, any relevant usernames or account information, and any supporting evidence. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or via email. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
