AI Assistant

Canvas includes a built-in AI assistant that helps you build workflows faster. It can generate entire workflows from a description, suggest next steps, and help configure individual steps.

AI Command Palette

Press Ctrl + K to open the AI command palette. Type a natural language description of what you want to build, and the AI will suggest steps, connections, and configurations.

Examples of what you can type:

• "Send a welcome email when a new customer signs up"
• "Filter bookings by zone and send a daily summary to the admin"
• "Create a review request flow that waits 2 hours after job completion"

The AI generates the steps on your canvas. Review the output, adjust any configurations, and approve or discard the suggestion.

Per-Step AI Assistance

Select any step and click the AI icon to get help with that specific step. The AI reads the step's context — what is connected before and after it — and offers suggestions:

• Email steps — Suggest subject lines and body copy based on the workflow context.
• Condition steps — Suggest rules based on the data flowing into the step.
• Transform steps — Suggest data mappings and transformations.

AI Response Review

When the AI generates steps or configurations, you always get a chance to review before anything is applied. An approval dialog shows exactly what will be added or changed. Click Apply to accept or Discard to reject.

AI Chat

For more complex questions, open the per-step AI chat panel. You can have a back-and-forth conversation about how to configure a step, debug an issue, or understand what a step does.

Tips

• The AI works best when your workflow already has some context — a trigger and a few steps give it more to work with.
• Use the command palette for big-picture generation and per-step AI for fine-tuning.
