Version History

Canvas automatically tracks changes and lets you save named versions so you can always go back to a known good state.

Saving a Version

Press Ctrl + S or click the save icon to open the Save Version dialog. Enter a name for this version — something descriptive like "Added SMS reminder step" or "Fixed condition logic." Click Save to create a snapshot of your entire canvas.

Browsing History

Open the Version History panel from the right sidebar to see a timeline of all saved versions. Each entry shows:

  • Version name — The label you gave it when saving.
  • Timestamp — When the version was saved.
  • Author — Who saved it.

Restoring a Version

Click any version in the history panel to preview what the canvas looked like at that point. If you want to go back to that state, click Restore. This creates a new version with the restored content so you never lose your current work.

Best Practices

  • Save a version before making major changes — it takes two seconds and gives you a safety net.
  • Use descriptive names so you can find the right version later without guessing.
  • Save after successfully testing a workflow so you always have a known working version to fall back on.
  • Version history is available to all collaborators, so your team can see the evolution of the workflow.
