Real-Time Collaboration

Canvas supports real-time collaboration, allowing multiple team members to work on the same canvas simultaneously.

Live Cursors

When multiple people have the same canvas open, you will see their cursors moving in real time. Each collaborator is shown with a distinct color and their name displayed next to their cursor. This lets you see exactly where others are working without needing to communicate separately.

Presence Indicators

The top of the canvas editor shows avatar badges for all active collaborators. These presence indicators tell you who is currently viewing or editing the canvas. Avatars appear when someone opens the canvas and disappear when they leave.

Commenting

Click the comment icon on any step or area of the canvas to start a comment thread. Comments are attached to specific steps so the context is always clear.

• Start a thread — Click the comment marker on a step and type your message.
• Reply — Open an existing thread and add your response.
• Resolve — Mark a thread as resolved when the discussion is complete.

Comment markers appear as floating badges on the canvas so you can see at a glance where discussions are happening.

Comments Panel

Open the Comments Panel from the right sidebar to see all threads across the canvas in one place. Filter by open or resolved threads. Click any thread to jump to the related step on the canvas.

Tips

• Collaboration works automatically — just share the canvas link and everyone sees live changes.
• Use comments for async feedback when team members are in different time zones.
• Avoid editing the same step simultaneously — Canvas will preserve the last saved configuration.
