Sharing & Embedding
Canvas makes it easy to share your workflows with others — whether they have an Otesse account or not.
Share Dialog
Click the Share button in the canvas toolbar to open the Share Dialog. From here you can configure how your canvas is shared.
Public Links
Generate a public link that anyone can use to view your canvas. Recipients see a read-only version of the workflow — they can explore the steps and connections but cannot edit anything.
Options for public links:
- View only — Recipients can see the workflow but not run it.
- Password protected — Require a password to access the link. Useful for sharing with external partners.
- Expiration — Set a date after which the link stops working.
Embedding
Get an embed code to insert your canvas into other web pages, wikis, or documentation. The embedded view shows the workflow in a contained frame with zoom and pan controls.
To embed a canvas:
- Open the Share Dialog.
- Click the Embed tab.
- Copy the embed code (an iframe snippet).
- Paste it into your website or documentation platform.
Tips
- Public links are great for stakeholder reviews — send the link, get feedback, no account required.
- Use password protection when sharing workflows that contain sensitive business logic.
- Embedded canvases update automatically when you save changes to the source canvas.
