Booking Options Explained
Otesse offers flexible booking options to match your needs. Here is what each option means and when to use it.
One-Time vs Recurring
One-Time Booking
A single service visit on a specific date. Best for:
- First-time customers trying the service
- Seasonal deep cleans
- One-off junk removal projects
- Move-in or move-out cleaning
Recurring Booking (Subscription)
Automatically scheduled services at a set frequency. Available frequencies:
- Weekly — Same day each week
- Bi-Weekly — Every two weeks
- Monthly — Once per month
Recurring bookings offer benefits:
- Discounted pricing — Recurring customers typically pay less per visit than one-time bookings
- Priority scheduling — Your preferred time slot is reserved automatically
- Consistent crew — The same team is assigned to your recurring visits when possible
You can pause, modify, or cancel a subscription at any time from your portal.
Add-Ons and Extras
Each service industry offers optional extras that you can add during the booking flow:
Cleaning Extras: Inside oven cleaning, inside refrigerator cleaning, laundry (wash/dry/fold), interior windows, baseboards deep clean, cabinet organizing.
Junk Removal Extras: Stair carry fee (per flight), building access vs curb pickup, item disassembly, hoarder surcharge, proof of disposal certificate, recycling certification.
Carpet Cleaning Extras: Stain protector application, deodorizing treatment, speed dry service, furniture moving, pet stain and odor treatment.
Extras are priced individually and added to your booking total. You can see the price of each extra before adding it.
Special Instructions
Every booking has a Notes field where you can provide specific instructions:
- Gate codes or building access details
- Areas to focus on or avoid
- Pet information (especially helpful for cleaning teams)
- Parking instructions
- Any preferences for the service team
These notes are visible to the assigned crew before they arrive.
Estimated Duration
The booking system calculates an estimated duration based on your configuration. This estimate accounts for:
- Size of the job (rooms, items, sections)
- Selected extras
- Historical data from similar jobs
The estimate is displayed during booking so you know approximately how long the service will take.
