California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This page provides additional privacy disclosures and describes the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA"). This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of the State of California.
1. Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the preceding 12 months, Otesse has collected the following categories of personal information from California consumers:

2. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you — When you create an account, book a service, communicate with us, or provide feedback.
- Automatically — Through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies when you use our platform and website.
- From service providers — Our third-party service providers (Stripe, analytics providers) may provide us with information about your interactions with their services in connection with ours.

We collect and use personal information for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including:

- Processing transactions and fulfilling service bookings
- Communicating with you about your account, bookings, and services

5. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Otesse does not sell your personal information. We have not sold personal information of California consumers in the preceding 12 months, and we have no plans to do so.
Otesse does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes as defined under the CPRA. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or participate in ad networks that would constitute "sharing" under the CPRA.
6. Your California Privacy Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
6.1 Right to Know
You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business purposes for collecting it, the categories of third parties with whom we shared it, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
6.2 Right to Delete
You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary to: complete a transaction, detect security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or engage in other internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations.
6.3 Right to Correct
You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. Upon receiving a verified request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information.
6.4 Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing
Because Otesse does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no need to opt out. However, if our practices change in the future, we will update this notice and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.
6.5 Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to purposes that are necessary for providing the Services. Otesse only uses sensitive personal information (account credentials) for the purpose of authenticating your account and does not use it for any secondary purposes.
6.6 Right to Non-Discrimination
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, provide a different quality of service, or suggest that you will receive different treatment for exercising your rights.
7. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of the rights described above, you may submit a verifiable consumer request to us by:

- Portal: Through the privacy settings section of your customer portal account
7.1 Verification Process
To protect your privacy and security, we will verify your identity before fulfilling your request. Verification typically involves:
- Confirming the email address associated with your account
- Matching two or more data points you provide against data we maintain
For requests to access specific pieces of personal information or to delete personal information, we apply a higher level of verification and may require additional documentation.
7.2 Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide:
- A signed written authorization from you, or
- A valid power of attorney under California Probate Code sections 4000-4465
We may still require you to directly verify your identity and confirm the agent's authorization.
7.3 Response Timing
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 days, with written notice explaining the reason for the extension.

9. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Retention periods vary by data type, and we delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
